Rebel Tales Theatre is dedicated to creating inclusive, diverse, and interactive theatre experiences for children aged 0-10 years old. Our mission is to spark imagination, creativity, and empathy through our performances, engaging with young audiences in a meaningful way.

The Team

Paula David

Paula is an actor, poet, singer/songwriter and playwright and director.  Her plays have been performed at Brighton festival, Camden Festival, Fly Festival Bristol, Nottingham Playhouse, Arnofini Arts centre in Bristol, Soho Theatre, Pleasance Theatre Edinburgh, among others. She had her first commission from The Royal Court Theatre to write a short play for the Borough of Culture Listen Local project. It was performed over four weekends September 2019. Paula is also creates children’s theatre, her most recent tour of Windrush Adventures toured autumn 2024, including Hammersmith Lyric.

Laura Sampson

Laura Sampson is a London-based performance storyteller and writer, whose mixed heritage and myth studies have taken her on many adventures. She tells stories of surreal situations and big emotions from all over the world. 

 

As a performer Laura has worked with organisations including the Crick Crack Club, StoryJam,  and the British Library. Current and recent projects include HIDE (VAULT Festival), Forest of Thorns (Bloomsbury Festival) and Rewilding Cinderella (Brighton Fringe, Scottish International Storytelling Festival).
